Description:

Public event covering both the Napoleonic wars and the War of 1812. There will be Napoleonic and 1812 battles both days, at 11am and 2pm. Re-enactors are invited to bring multiple kits and participate in both period battles if they would like. Battle scenarios will be planned around numbers to keep the scenarios believable to the public.

Food: The farm cooks and sells food, campfires are allowed and units may cook for themselves. At the present time there is no plan for a large meal. There are plenty of restaurants within a very short distance.
Accomodations: Period camping only on site, there maybe LIMITED space inside some of the buildings on site, but I say again that that space is very lmited.

Straw, Water, Wood: Firewood provided, NO potable water on site, please bring your own, straw bales, bathrooms, water for horses
Weapons, Powder, etc: If you only participate in either Napoleonic or 1812, plan for 2 battles, if you plan on both periods, plan on 4 battles. No powder provided, I don’t anticipate any for sale on site or nearby. Crossing sabers and bayonets is allowed, though some scripting should be undertaken if that is anticipated.
Entertainment: Bring your instruments if you like, feel free to demo your talents in camp or at any of the buildings on site. There will be a get-together at the railroad depot Saturday night, and there is room for dancing, so bring your dancing shoes.
Special Preparations: If weather is a problem, there is indoor storage for items that must remain dry
Closest airport: We are about 1 hour from Chicago Ohare International (ORD)
Chicago Ohare Airport
